The men’s playoff picture was still very incomplete going into this evening’s draw.

The winner of the game on Sheet A would capture a guaranteed spot in the playoffs, while the loser would drop into a tiebreaker. Team Howard came roaring out of the gate and never looked back, beating Team Maus 9-2 in 7 ends and locking up 2nd place.

Team Deruelle had a chance to play spoiler on Sheet B and knock Team Tuck out of contention for a tiebreaker, but Tuck prevailed with a big steal of 3 in the 10th end to win 9-5 and capture 4th place.

On Sheet C, Team Balsdon needed a win to get into a tiebreaker position, and put up some big scores to beat Team Harris 10-5 in 8 ends.

Team Bice had a chance to get into the tiebreaker on Sheet D, but Team Epping continued their dominant performance and won 4-2, knocking Bice out of the playoffs.

The women’s tiebreaker on Sheet E started out close, but Team Auld began to pull away from Team Flaxey through a combination of hammer efficiency and steals. Team Auld won 10-4 in 9 ends to secure their spot in the women’s semifinal tomorrow morning against Team Homan.

We will have two men’s tiebreakers tomorrow – Maus (5) vs. Balsdon (6) at 9:00am, and Tuck (4) vs the winner of Maus-Balsdon at 2:00pm.
